Welcome to my portrait site! (It's been a long time coming!)

This is a work in progress, and will be for awhile. (I want it to be perfect, but there are all these pictures I need to edit instead of playing around over here....) I've added a couple of galleries, to give you an idea of my style, but there are many more to come. : )

So, anyway... I figure I should tell you: I'm not your traditional portrait photographer.

I don't have a big studio with backdrops and lights, and I don't have set poses that I use for every person who steps in front of my camera. Rather than trying to force what's in front of me to fit a preconceived notion of how the shoot should go, I tailor every shoot individually and just focus on what's in front of me.

It seems to work well for me, so I plan to keep doing it. ; )
